What is this Word to PDF Converter?
This tool turns .docx documents into fixed-layout PDFs that open identically on every device. It renders your document with the docx-preview engine, then offers two output paths. Download PDF captures every page at high resolution and writes a real PDF at your document's exact page size — one click, no dialogs, works the same on phones. Vector PDF produces the file through your browser's native print-to-PDF pipeline, giving real vector text that is razor-sharp at any zoom and fully selectable, copyable and searchable. Everything runs locally; your document is never uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Download PDF and Vector PDF?
Download PDF saves a file instantly with zero dialogs — every page is captured at high resolution and looks exactly like the preview, but the text is an image (not selectable). Vector PDF opens the browser's print dialog (choose Save as PDF) and produces real vector text that is selectable, searchable and smaller in file size. Use Download for speed and certainty; use Vector when the text must be selectable.
How do I get the cleanest possible Vector PDF?
In the print dialog open More settings and set Margins: None (your document keeps its own margins), enable Background graphics, and uncheck Headers and footers so the browser doesn't add the page URL and date.
Does this tool upload my Word file anywhere?
No. The .docx is read and rendered entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is sent to any server.
Is the PDF text selectable and searchable?
In Vector PDF mode, yes — always. In Download PDF mode the pages are high-resolution images, so the text looks identical but is not selectable. If you need both speed and selectable text, run the downloaded file through our OCR tool, or simply use Vector mode.
Can I add page numbers, a watermark, or a password?
Your document's own page numbers are preserved. To add new page numbers, watermarks, or password protection to the finished PDF, run it through our PDF Editor.
Does it support legacy .doc files?
No — only the modern .docx format (Office Open XML, 2007 onwards). Easy fix: open your .doc in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice and use File → Save As → .docx, then come back here.
Are images, tables and lists preserved?
Yes. Images embed at original quality, tables keep borders and merged cells, and ordered/unordered lists keep their indentation and numbering.
What about comments, track changes or footnotes?
Footnotes and endnotes are rendered. Comments and track-change marks are hidden. Embedded objects like Excel sheets appear as static images.
Can I change the page size or orientation?
Orientation and the document's true size come from the .docx itself. You can override paper size (A4 / Letter / Legal) for Vector mode above, or open the file in Word and adjust Layout → Size / Orientation. Also see JPG to PDF and PDF Merger.
