How to Use the PDF Editor

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I merge multiple PDFs here?
Yes. After loading your first PDF, click + Add PDF in the file bar. Pages from the new file are appended to the grid, and you can drag them anywhere between existing pages. Watermarks, numbering, and encryption apply to the combined result.
How do I add a logo as a watermark?
Open the Watermark panel, switch to the Image / Logo tab, and upload a PNG or JPG. Adjust opacity, size, and position. The logo will be drawn on every exported page.
How does Split Mode work?
Each page thumbnail has a checkbox in the top-right corner. Check the pages you want to extract, or type a range like 1-3,7 and click Select range, then click Export Selected. A new PDF is generated containing only those pages, with all your other edits still applied.
How do I insert a blank page or duplicate a page?
Click + Blank page to append an empty page sized to match your document, then drag it into position. To duplicate, hover a page and click the copy button — an identical page appears right after it.
What's the difference between user and owner passwords?
The user password is required to open the PDF. The owner password controls permission changes — if set, recipients with only the user password can't change the permissions you've assigned. If you leave owner password blank, we reuse the user password.
Are passwords actually secure?
The PDF is encrypted using standard PDF encryption supported by all major readers (Adobe Acrobat, Preview, Foxit, browsers). Use a strong password — short passwords can be brute-forced.
Can I restrict printing or copying?
Yes. In the Password Protection panel, uncheck any of Allow printing, Allow copying text, Allow modifying, or Allow annotating. Permission flags depend on the PDF reader honoring them — most reputable readers do.
Are my files or passwords uploaded?
No. All editing, merging, watermarking, and encryption happens in your browser. Your PDFs, logo image, and passwords never leave your device.
What if my PDF is already password-protected?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be edited in-browser. Unlock the file first in a desktop PDF reader, then load it here.
