Frequently Asked Questions

How do I count the number of days between two dates?
Enter a start date and an end date in the Difference tab and press Calculate. You will see the exact number of days, plus a breakdown into years, months and days and totals in other units.
Does it include both the start and end day?
By default the result counts the gap between the dates (end minus start). Tick "Include the end day" to count both endpoints, which is useful for things like counting vacation days.
How are business days calculated?
The Business Days tab counts only Monday to Friday between your two dates and subtracts any holidays you list. You can optionally treat Saturday as a working day.
Does it handle leap years correctly?
Yes. All calculations use real calendar math, so February 29th, differing month lengths and leap years are all accounted for accurately.
Can I add months to a date?
Yes. In the Add / Subtract tab you can add or remove any number of years, months, weeks and days. When a month is shorter, the result is clamped to the last valid day of that month.
Is my data private?
Completely. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. No dates or results are uploaded anywhere.
