QR Code Generator
Create QR codes for URLs, text, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, WiFi, location, calendar events, PayPal, crypto & contact cards. Add a logo, custom colors, dot styles, eye shapes & a "SCAN ME" frame — one-click style presets, live scan-safety check, and HD export up to 4096px as crisp PNG, JPG, vector SVG or PDF. 100% private, generated in your browser.
How to Use the QR Code Generator
- Choose a type — URL, Text, Email, Phone, SMS, WhatsApp, WiFi, Location, Event, PayPal, Crypto, or Contact.
- Fill in the details for that type. The QR code updates live as you type.
- Add a caption (optional) — e.g. your WiFi name — or pick the SCAN ME banner or rounded border frame to drive scans.
- Customize — one-click style presets, size, quiet zone, module style, eye shapes (square, rounded, circle) with separate ring & pupil colors, gradients, transparent background, and a center logo with adjustable size. A live warning tells you if your colors could fail to scan.
- Download as HD PNG or JPG (up to 4096px), SVG (vector), or PDF — print directly, or copy the image to your clipboard.
What is a QR Code Generator?
A QR code generator turns information — a link, message, WiFi login, or contact card — into a scannable 2D barcode. This tool builds every code entirely inside your browser using the open-source qrcode-generator engine, so nothing you type is ever sent to a server. You get true vector SVG output, PDF export, HD raster export up to 4096px, optional logo embedding, custom dot styles, three corner-eye shapes with separate ring and pupil colors, gradient fills, style presets, and a "SCAN ME" call-to-action frame — all free and unlimited.
Common Use Cases
Why Choose Our QR Code Generator?
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Unlike many online generators, this tool builds the QR code with JavaScript in your browser. Your URLs, passwords, and contact details never touch a server.
Do the QR codes expire?
Never. These are static QR codes — the data is encoded directly in the pattern, so they work forever with no subscription or tracking redirect.
How do I download a high-resolution (HD) QR code?
Set PNG/JPG export to 2048px or 4096px before downloading — the code is rendered with pixel-perfect module edges at that resolution, ideal for print. For unlimited resolution use SVG or PDF, which are vector formats that scale to any size with zero blur.
PNG, JPG, SVG or PDF — which should I download?
Use SVG or PDF for print and design (they scale to any size with no blur). Use PNG for web and transparent placement, and JPG for email, documents, and platforms that prefer smaller photos. All formats bake in your caption, frame, eyes, and logo.
Will a center logo break scanning?
Not if kept reasonably small. We automatically raise error correction to High when a logo is added, and the logo size slider tops out at 30% — within what High error correction can reconstruct.
Why use dots, rounded styles, eye shapes or custom eye colors?
They look more modern and on-brand. The three corner "eyes" can be square, rounded, or circular with their own ring and pupil colors, while High error correction keeps stylized codes scannable. The live scan-safety warning tells you if a color combination risks failing.
What's the quiet zone?
The blank margin around the code. Scanners need it — keep it at 4 modules or more, especially when placing the QR on a busy background or using the border frame.
Can I make a transparent QR?
Yes — tick "Transparent background". The PNG and SVG will have no white box, so the code sits cleanly on any colored design. (JPG doesn't support transparency, so it's flattened onto white.)
Does the SCAN ME frame help?
Yes. Real-world studies show a clear call-to-action like "SCAN ME" meaningfully increases scan rates versus a bare code. Pick the banner frame and type your own text in the caption box, or use the rounded border for a clean framed look.
